One of the most complete youth culture experiences available, X Games now features an enhanced sport, music, gaming and festival lineup.

Since its inception in 1995, X Games has evolved from The Extreme Games in Providence, Rhode Island, into the leading action sports competition and lifestyle brand, spotlighting the world’s best action sports athletes at the summer and winter versions of the X Games against the backdrop of each individual host city. Complementing the sports with the world’s top musical performers, X Games Music has featured performances by world-class artists including Metallica, Kanye West, Tiesto, Nicki Minaj, Macklemore and many more. X Games events have also featured world-class eSports competition and interactive festival villages, offering experiences for fans of all ages.

An international stage for progression, fans around the globe have witnessed countless memorable moments in the history of action sports at X Games events.

Whether it was Tony Hawk’s first 900 in the Skateboard Vert competition, Travis Pastrana’s Double Backflip in the Moto X Best Trick competition or Mark McMorris’ first Triple Cork 1440 in the Snowboard Slopestyle competition, fans can expect never-before-seen tricks at each event. Each year X Games Aspen and Austin are televised around the world to more than 350 million homes in over 200 countries.

X Games currently stages two domestic flagship events each year – X Games Aspen in Aspen Snowmass, Colorado, and X Games Austin in Austin, Texas. Both events take place over four days featuring the top action sports competitions, world-class musical performances and an interactive festival village experience. More than 100,000 fans attend each event each year.

The 20th edition of ESPN’s annual winter action sports competition, X Games Aspen 2016 will feature the return of Skier X and Snowmobile Freestyle to the action sports competition lineup.  On the music stage deadmau5, DJ SNAKE, KYGO, Nas, Run The Jewels and Twenty One Pilots will perform over the four days. X Games Aspen 2016 will also feature an enhanced festival village experience, offering spectators a unique and wide-ranging interactive experience to complement the X Games competitions.  X Games Austin returns to Circuit of The Americas for the third year in 2016.

The inaugural X Games Oslo will be staged February 24 – 28 in collaboration with Norway’s TV 2 and SAHR concepts. The event in Oslo, Norway will pave the way for future international X Games events under a new model. 

Over the past two decades, the X Games has successfully organized action sports events, qualifiers and demonstrations around the globe in countries including Brazil, Germany, Spain, France, Canada, China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Taiwan, Philippines and UAE.
