Tucked high in the Wasatch Mountains, Park City, Utah, boasts world-class skiing and a charming, walkable historic main street.

Nestled between two ski resorts, Park City is best known for its accessibility to incredible snow sports and the annual Sundance Film Festival. The city also offers a booming dining scene and breathtaking mountain backdrop make it a vibrant winter destination for out-of-town visitors. Just 53 kilometers from Salt Lake City, Park City is one of the only mountain towns in the USA close enough to ski the same day you fly in. But, if you're coming from sea level, it's best to spend a day adjusting to the high altitude in town before taking to the slopes.

Day 1: Historic Main Street & Gold Medal Memories

Start your day with breakfast at Atticus Coffee, Books & Teahouse, a cute and cozy coffee shop where you can idle over a morning coffee. Take in the fresh alpine air with a stroll along Historic Main Street where you'll find art galleries, souvenir shops and boutiques housed in vibrantly painted Victorian buildings, remnants of the city's silver-mining days.

After shopping, catch the free town bus to the Utah Olympic Park and relive the magic of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games. Visit the museum, watch ski jumpers practice, and ride a bobsled down the Olympic track, all at this legendary venue.

If you're hunting for bargains, stop by the Tanger Outlet Center next to find discounted items at 65 brand-name stores.

For dinner, return to Main Street to experience Fletcher's inventive menu and creative cocktails that make it a locals' favorite. The Seared Buffalo and Lobster Mac & Cheese are can't-miss highlights.

Experience Park City's best desserts — like caramel pudding and chocolate tarts — a block away at Handle. End your night sipping on favorites like the legendary Polygamy Porter at Wasatch Brewery, Utah's first brewery since Prohibition.
