Rock musician and Las Vegas native, Frankie Moreno, knows how to spend an epic day in his favorite city.
“Everything you could ever want is right here in Las Vegas,” Frankie Moreno, a native rock musician says. “If you don’t like what’s in front of you, simply cross the street for something entirely different.”
Where to start your day
To get the heart pumping outside of the casinos, take a 13-mile, scenic drive out to Red Rock Loop for stunning nature in the middle of the desert to kickstart your day. Go for a hike, a horseback ride, or simply sit in Nevada’s oasis and be one with nature.

Go local for lunch
For lunch, stop by Roma Deli on Spring Mountain Road. Moreno insists, “It’s a little Italian spot that I can’t get enough of.” The 100% Italian chefs prepare close to 10 home-cooked meals a day, using recipes passed through generations of families.
Go upscale for dinner
For dinner, there’s STK Steakhouse in the Cosmopolitan, or Spaghetti at Scarpetta which the singer deems is “pretty perfect”. Vegas also offers countless other diverse flavors from Thai to Korean BBQ to really anything your palate desires.
Make it official on Instagram
Make it a point to capture a photo in front of the Iconic “Welcome To Las Vegas” sign and make everyone in your feed envious of your Nevada jaunt. More iconic sign memorabilia exists at the Neon Museum, where former signs of the Vegas Strip live on to be celebrated and explored through tours, and even nighttime light shows.

Explore the outdoors
About 30 minutes north of The Strip is Mount Charleston, an oasis of lush trees and snow--yes, even in Vegas--that takes you into a whole other realm just outside of the desert. “I take a motorcycle ride out there often to get inspired and breathe in that mountain air,” the singer says.
Stop and hear the music
Live music is everywhere in this town, so take your pick between the headliners of The Strip--from classic Barry Manilow to Brooks & Dunn--to the more intimate dives tucked away on side streets.
Never too late for a buzz in Vegas
For a caffeine buzz, head downtown to the urban coffee bar Makers and Finders, where Moreno suggests is “a chill little spot with interesting people and great coffee”, that also serves Latin comfort food.
