Walking Around San Francisco
Due to a friend-of-a-friend connection, we had a locals’ tour of San Francisco nightlife, including great food and a range of bars in the Mission district, which reminded me of a relaxed East London. San Francisco is up there with my favourite cities; it is so easy to wander the streets quite aimlessly and stumble across interesting cafés, shops and parks. It was all so vibrant, but not chaotic, and the cool breeze was constantly refreshing in the heat. Tip No. 4: Rent bikes, because it’s a deceptively long walk to the Golden Gate Bridge (which was layered in a mystical fog at the time). Well worth it.
